i dont know that but if you have any cast iron it wont melt i think..
if you already have a grill you could take off the frates and put them over the firepit..
thats all iknow hope i could help..

If you ever junk an oven, save the racks. You could use one for your grilling such as you mentioned. No do not place a pot on the flame, if the handle has a covering, instead on the coals after the flame simmers down. Cast iron is great for open pit cooking.

go to home depot, lowes or menards. get a rock rack from a gas grill. that will be strong enough to handle the heat from the fire and the weight of your pans.
also they make pans called “dutch ovens” that are designed to be put directly into the coals of a fire.
the boy scouts use them on campouts to make lots of different meals when they go camping. the best one that i like is the cherry cobbler.
