To cook, you want materials that reflect heat first, so that you can reflect the sun from over an area into a small space. Fifty years ago, I used silvery reflective tape on a metal acoustic parabolic disk to create a hot spot for cooking hot dogs (an inch at a time.)
Since that time absorbtive finishes for solar water panels mean that an insulated chamber with a dark metal side will absorb more heat from the sun shining on it, but you still need 8-10 square feet of reflector to heat the box to cooking temps, and good dark glasses to withstand the glare.
