Hey, cook a great meal tonight and take the extra’s to her tomorrow. It would be so much easier than just thinking about one meal for your friend. What ever you decide to take make sure you remember the salad and bread (if needed). Most important don’t forget the silverware and napkins!
*********CHICKEN CACCIATORE
3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 sm. can sliced olives
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 each celery stock, sliced
1 c. mushrooms, slices
1 c. carrots (optional) or any vegetable desired
1 pkg. macaroni (shells, elbow, etc.)
Cut chicken in bite size pieces. In crock pot, combine chicken, spaghetti sauce, olives, onion, celery, mushrooms and carrots. Cook on low 6 to 7 hours or high 3 to 4 hours. Cook macaroni. Place macaroni in bowl, spoon Chicken Cacciatore over. Great with french bread and a salad.

Make a sub sandwich that you can share. Take a loaf of unsliced bread(French,Italian)and slice in half.Spread a drizzle of Italian salad dressing on one side of the bread. Put a layer of cheese, meat(ham or turkey or salami or all)a layer of lettuce, tomato, thinly sliced onion.Press the loaf of bread together lightly.Roll out a long piece of plastic wrap and roll the whole loaf into the plastic wrap and secure the edges.Put in the fridge. Tomorrow take the loaf with a serrated knife, paper plates, napkins, mustard and mayo to have lunch.Take a couple of cans of cold soda too.You won’t be able to eat the whole loaf, but looks impressive.

It depends on if you have a fridge to store your food in. I would probably bring a salad with the works (you can chop up ham and put it in there), or I would make a wrap. For the wrap, I spread cream cheese on a flour tortilla and then place lettuce, then ham or turkey, then I roll it up. I’ve brought all kinds of food to work to eat with my coworkers. I’ve brought red beans and rice (with sausage), I’ve brought chicken and dressing, meatloaf and mashed potatoes…the list goes on.
You could always just go to a fresh market. They have good stuff you could bring already made.
