you can take it, all they do is when you go through security you have to take it out of its bag. just like laptops.

I don’t really know but once when i was on a plane i saw a person with a dvd player other flight and nobody said anything so (im not sure) but i think its ok

Everybody takes Lap top’s in the plane so why not a portable DVD..Just don’t use it on take off and landings

You can use it, and the stewardesses will let you know when to put it away, ie for takeoff and landing.
But the films shown on flights are new and exciting anyway, so why bring it along?

Yes. Do not put it in your checked bags as the airline will take no liability if it is damagaed or stolen.
